Who We Are

We are simply a group of Christians who work and worship together as a local church or congregation (Acts 11:26). Collectively, we belong to Jesus Christ, which is why we describe ourselves as a “church of Christ” (Romans 16:16). We are far from perfect, but being forgiven by God, we strive to faithfully serve Him (Philippians 3:12-16).

We believe that one thing all men have in common is that we are all sinners (Romans 3:23). We also believe in the God of the Bible and that this God sent Jesus Christ, His Son, to die for the sins of the world, and to provide mankind with the only way of salvation (John 3:16; 14:6). The only way to enter into a relationship with God, is by humbly submitting to and obeying the teachings of Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20). Those who confess their faith in the fact that Jesus is the Son of the living God (Matthew 16:16; Romans 10:9-13), repent of their sins, and are baptized into Christ for the forgiveness of their sins (Acts 2:38), calling on the name of the Lord (Acts 22:16; 1 Peter 3:21), will be added to God’s collection of saved individuals (Acts 2:47). To us, Jesus is now King and Lord, and also the Head of His church (Ephesians 1:22-23). This means that His will and the will of His Father must be carefully obeyed by everyone who truly wants to please Him (Luke 6:46; Matthew 7:21-23).

We also firmly believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, that it alone reveals God’s will for man today, and that it contains all we need to know to serve God in a way that is acceptable to Him (2 Timothy 3:16-17). For this reason, we try very hard to learn and follow exactly the teachings of the Bible. It is to this end that we assemble and work together as a local church, helping each other to correctly understand and obey God’s Word, and worshipping God in spirit and in truth (Hebrews 10:24-25; John 4:23-24).
