What to Expect

Worship Service

What might you expect when you visit with us? You will see that our assemblies are really rather simple. You will see that we sing and pray together, and that we study God’s Word through preaching and teaching (Acts 2:42; 20:7; Colossians 3:16). On the first day of every week, we also remember the Lord’s death as we partake of the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:17-34; cf. Acts 20:7). We also take up a collection from among our members, who voluntarily give back to God a part of what He has blessed us with, in order to continue the Lord’s work here in this place (1 Corinthians 16:1-2). If you choose to visit with us, we want to encourage you to examine everything we do in light of God’s word, and we welcome any and all of your Bible questions.

Bible Classes

2nd Trimester 2023 (May - August)

Every Sunday morning and Wednesday evening we have Bible classes for the following age groups: Adult (post high school); High School (grades 8-12); Junior High (grades 4-7); and Primary (PreK-3).

Adult Class

We strive to use our Bible study periods as opportunities to challenge one another, grow in our understanding of God’s word and find relevant applications of His word to our daily lives. Each class period is directed by one of our members, but all who attend are encouraged to participate in and contribute to the study.

This trimester we trying to promote more conversation and dialogue in our study. The topics have all been submitted by members of the class, and each topic will address a specific question (either about the Bible or how the Bible effects a current issue). We will take each study in 3 parts: 1) Clarifying the Question, to make sure we’re all on the same page; 2) Uncovering Biblical Principles in Scripture, that may be related to the question; 3) Making Application, of these principles to the question at hand.

If you plan to join and would like to know the current discussion topic, please contact us and we’ll be happy to get that information to you.

High School Class

This trimester the High School class is working through the Faith Builders Series, looking at the necessity of Decision Making.

“Young people face many different choices and they need good information to help them make the right decision or help them overcome the consequences of bad decisions. This workbook is designed to give them that information from a biblical point of view. The Bible is a book of wisdom for young people and if properly used will help them make good decisions. This workbook also gives them Scriptural reasons for making those decisions and gives sound reasoning that will help young people know why they should follow these good reasons. They will also face opposition from their peers and overcoming this opposition will make them stronger to face future temptations. A much needed study for this generation.”

Junior High Class

In our Sunday morning Bible study we are focusing on “Doing Right” (learning to make wise choices in the face of temptation). We are learning about what sin is, how Jesus died for our sins, who the enemy is, how we are to put on the full armor of God to fight against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:14-17), and how to live our lives for Christ.

In our Wednesday evening Bible study we are using “My God Says…” life journals to learn how we are created by God and the truths surrounding that fact. We are learning how God sees us versus how the world sees us, and focusing on our emotions and how to respond the way God desires.

Primary Class

This trimester on Sunday mornings we are studying the importance of Biblical Obedience–what it looks like to the world, but more importantly, what it says about our hearts!

On Wednesday evenings we are currently studying the fruit of the Spirit. Our devotion goes over the characteristics that God calls us to obtain. Join us as we also spend time creating our own fruit of the Spirit crafts!
